The Kalama river flows south from its headwaters in Mount Saint Helens, passes through a drainage that spans 205 square miles and enters the Columbia River just south of Longwiew. Known for great Steelhead and Salmon fishing, this is one of the most consistant rivers in the entire Northwest.
The mouth of the Kalama has tidal influence from the Columbia , which means that we don't need to depend on rain as much to bring in fish. Even in the lowest summer flows, there are bright fresh steelies to cast to.
